It Starts With a Conversation
Communication is the foundation of every successful project. After your initial call, one of our project managers will schedule an in-home or virtual consultation to understand your goals, explore the scope, and discuss the best path to bringing your vision to life. This meeting allows us to gather details, answer questions, and begin preparing a tailored proposal for your review.
Site Visit, Measurements & Early Design Direction
Once you choose to move forward with Allan General Contracting, we’ll formalize our agreement and schedule a detailed walkthrough of the space. During this visit, our team measures, photographs, and documents the existing conditions. Shortly after, our designers begin crafting the layout and design concepts while our coordinators prepare selection sheets and help you choose finishes, fixtures, and materials that match your style and budget.
Final Design, Permits & Project Scheduling
After your design and construction details are finalized, we begin processing permits, ordering materials, and setting your project timeline. You’ll receive a tentative start date along with clear expectations for the planning and preparation phase, ensuring everything is ready before work begins.
Pre-Construction Meeting & Full Project Alignment
Before construction starts, our project manager, designer, and lead installers meet with you to review the scope, schedule, and design details. This collaborative meeting ensures everyone is aligned, questions are addressed, and the plan is fully understood so your project can move forward smoothly, on time, and on budget. Throughout the renovation, you’ll receive consistent communication and direct updates from your project team — including your Project Manager, Designer, and specialty trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Douglas Allan will personally oversee progress to ensure accuracy, quality, and craftsmanship at every stage.
Construction Begins: Clean, Organized & Transparent
Once on site, we prepare the work area, protect surrounding spaces, and maintain a clean and organized environment throughout the job. You can expect steady communication, quick responses to any questions or changes, and full transparency as the project moves from phase to phase. Our goal is not just to build—it’s to make sure you always feel informed, comfortable, and confident in the process.
Final Walkthrough & Project Completion
At completion, we conduct a detailed walkthrough to review the finished work, answer any questions, and address any final touch-ups or punch-list items immediately. Your satisfaction is our priority.
